NBYSA Blaze 2008 Tryouts
There was a greater than expected turn-out at the NBYSA Blaze Girls’ Fastpitch tryouts on Sunday, May 4th, 2008. We had 27 girls pre-register and 66 girls in all tryout in the various age groups with a strong turnout in the 10 & Under group. With all the talented girls that came out for tryouts, we are anticipating a very successful season to the end of the year. Thank you to all the coaches, parents, girls and supporters of the NBYSA Blaze Girls’ Fastpitch organization that are making this program a success in developing girls’ fastpitch softball in North Brevard County.

Scrimmage Tournament October 20th
Chain of Lakes
The Scrimmage Tournament games sponsored by NBYSA Blaze was a huge success! Our 10 & Under team hosted the Central Brevard Stealers and the Seminole County Warriors. The scrimmage Tournament was conducted as a double elimination format. The scrimmage tournament was more of a practice session than a true tournament, but was conducted as a true tournament utilizing top quality umpires. This scrimmage tournament gave all the teams involved an opportunity to play other teams in a less competitive, more friendly atmosphere but maintained the quality of a true tournament. The NBYSA Blaze 10 & Under Team would like to thank the Stealers and Warriors teams that participated and would like to give a special thanks to the Umpires who did a great job officiating the games and to all the parents and volunteers that helped make this scrimmage such a success.
